English Presentation Contest 2024
대구대학교 교무처 교양교육센터에서는 재학생들에게 재미있고 즐거운 영어학습의 기회를 제공하고자 아래와 같이 ‘English Presentation Contest 2024’를 실시하오니 관심 있고 재능 있는 재학생 여러분의 많은 참여 바랍니다.
1. 일시: 2024. 11. 22.(금) 14:00~17:00(참가 인원에 따라 조기 종료 가능)
2. 장소: 조형예술대학5호관 DU Global Lounge
3. 대상: 학부 재학생 ※8학기 초과자 제외
4. 경연방법: 아래 주제 중 하나를 선택하여 영어로 약 7분간 파워포인트를 이용하여

Sustainable Fashion: The Future of Clothing Examine the impact of fast fashion on the environment, and discuss innovative solutions and brands that promote sustainable practices in the fashion industry. 2. The Science of Happiness: What Really Makes Us Happy? Delve into psychological and scientific research on happiness, including factors that contribute to well-being and how different cultures perceive happiness. 3. Mental Health Awareness: Breaking the Stigma in Korea Mental health is an increasingly important topic, especially among young adults. Addressing stigma and promoting awareness can encourage open discussions and provide valuable insights. 4. Global Street Food: A Culinary Journey Around the World Explore the vibrant world of street food and its significance in various cultures. Discuss popular street foods from different countries, their historical and cultural roots, and how they reflect local traditions and flavors. 5. The Pet Industry Boom in Korea: From Pet Cafés to High-Tech Gadgets |
* Topic Guidelines :
1) The judges are looking for well-rounded presentation, Which include the competitor's own ideas and answers. For example, it is not enough to simply outline Korea as a multi-cultural society: contestants should also discuss advantages, disadvantages and solutions to potential problem, as well.
2) The judges are looking for creative, logical ideas and solution, use of facts and figures, good presentation skills and sound delivery.
5. 참가신청
▪ 접수기간: 2024.10.28.(월) ~ 11.10.(일)
▪ 제출물: 참가신청서, 프리젠테이션 원고(발표원고 및 발표 녹음파일, 파워포인트 자료) 각 1부
▪ 제출방법
1) HEART 비교과시스템(http://heart.daegu.ac.kr)에서 신청
2) English Presentation Contest 2024 ‘활동게시판’에 파일 업로드
▪ 문의처: 교무처 교양교육센터 행정실(조형예술대학 5호관 1214B호실, ☏850-6853)
6. 심사 및 시상
▪ 예선 1) 심사방법: 접수된 원고와 녹음내용을 기준으로 본선진출자 15명 내외 선발
2) 심사기준: 발표력, PPT 구성의 우수성, 내용의 우수성
※ 지원자가 15명 내외일 경우 예선을 생략 전원 본선 진출
▪ 본선 1) 심사방법: 본선 참가자의 영어능력과 Presentation 스킬을 평가하여 순위 결정
2) 심사기준: 발표력, PPT 구성의 우수성, 내용의 우수성, 발표 시간의 적절성
※ 본선진출자의 본선 발표 내용은 최초 접수 원고에서 수정·보완 가능합니다.

7. 기타사항
- 참가자 현황에 따라 시상내역이 다소 조정될 수 있음
- 본선진출자에게는 본교 원어민교원의 대회준비 개별레슨 기회를 제공함
- 참가자 본인의 창작 원고로 발표, 참가자 원고의 일부라도 표절로 인정될 경우 참가자격 제한 및 시상이 취소됨
